Poland to get EUR11.2bn in EU subsidies in 2007

The European Parliament has adopted the final draft of the 2007 budget, which will see Poland receive EUR11.2bn in subsidies against a contribution of EUR2.8bn. Up to 40% of the EU\'s structural funds will go to the new member states in 2007, compared to 23% in 2006. Poland will be the greatest beneficiary of regional funds, and is expected to receive up to 18% of the total pool.
