The Hamilton Group brand has been built thanks to years of hard work. The whole company employs in excess of 60 people and is divided into two main branches: Hamilton May Real Estate Agency with offices in Krakow and Warsaw and Hamilton Suites which operates over 50 luxurious apartments across the city center and most notably – Venetian House, right on Krakow’s Main Square.
Full refurbishment of Venetian House Apartment Hotel has been accomplished thanks to a full co-operation and shared effort between the owner of the building and Hamilton Group. The main plan envisages developing the remaining space in the rear part of the building in order to create additional apartments and a complete re-decoration of the 1200m2 of room space.
Expansion of the historic tenement house in the heart of the city is a true challenge on many levels. Performing a comprehensive renovation of an historical building requires a detailed plan and coordination of many activities between multiple subcontractors and administration organs, and most importantly, between the owner of the building and the operator of Venetian House.
The expansion project is based on the idea of increasing the technical standard of the whole historic building. The first key task was to install a second passenger lift in a 16th century building. The investment which will significantly improve the comfort of all Venetian House guests was possible thanks to the landlord and main administrator of Rynek 11 building, with whom we share a great co-operation history. Basing on this successful cooperation high-speed fiber optic cable has been installed in a whole building. Trying to meet the standards set by the most prestigious hotels all apartments have access to private router and professional television system with thousands of HD quality channels. Also the air conditioning system has been modernized. It will ensure constant comfort all year long.
Another technical innovation undertaken in was the security system which is now based on magnetic entrance cards. Firstly, it effectively protects guest by giving a computerized record of access. On the other hand, it gives the guests easy access not only to the rented apartment, but also to all common spaces associated with it.
The interior decoration has been completely redesigned to make what we hope will give a contemporary yet cozy impression. Marcin Wesołowski, General Manager of Hamilton Suites reveals that the design idea was to “create a classical space, which in contrast to standard hotels will make guests feel like home”. Thanks to the cooperation with talented interior designers the general result is stunning. Completely refreshed rooms retain their boutique style, which perfectly match the character of the historical townhouse and at the same time fit into the contemporary canons of decor. The complete transformation of the 34 rooms was a logistical feat.
Meeting strict deadlines is the biggest test for every project manager. All works during renovation were done as fast as possible. The last few months of hard work proved that multitasking is the best way to accomplish even the most ambitious results. In just a few days during which the building was closed the well coordinated operation between the designers, decorators, Hamilton Suites employees and subcontractors led to a complete transformation in the apartment’s interior decoration.
The Hamilton Group’s motto is not an empty phrase but rather a call to action. A constant drive to stay ahead is a belief which permeates the whole company’s strategy.
Competition in the ever more popular Krakow tourism industry is extremely fierce. Hamilton Suites since its inception has operated what is considered to be one of the most popular ApartHotels in Krakow. The best proof of this success story over the past 7 years have been the numerous Trip Advisor Excellence Awards and the constant place on the list of Top Ten Hotels as voted for by hundreds of visitors. However, we are not one to rest on our laurels and this stable and strong position has not affected our appetite and motivation for continuous development. On the contrary, in order to meet the growing expectations of our customers we have created an expansion plan based on feedback as indicated by our many thousands of guests. Guests' opinions are a crucial topic in the tourism industry and should exist to guide future direction and trends. The main plan envisaged developing the remaining space in the rear part of the building in order to create additional apartments. Since the renovation there are now 34 apartments with a total floor space of 1.200 m2 available for our guests.
Venetian House has great potential to qualify as one of the leading hotels in Krakow. A stunning historical building with dual lift access, modern apartments with a view of the Main Square, cozy, comfortable and modernized rooms with fully equipped kitchen annexes, a contemporary café & bar and all of this in a pleasant atmosphere provided by a boutique team of hospitality professionals right in the heart of the city.
Marcin Wesołowski admits that positive recommendations from clients are the single best form of marketing hence as many guests ideas as possible have been incorporated into the redesign. Renovation works lasted until the end of March allowing Venetian House to start spring fully refreshed and ready for a new generation of guests, many of whom have already made a number of reservations.
